The present economic challenges appear insurmountable. However, let us question ourselves. How did we, as a nation, get here? Was there any corruption, self-serving financial projections or irresponsible lending? If the answer is yes, then let us strive to remove these weaknesses from our economic system and replace them with the strength and vitality of honesty and responsibility. As I explained in The Provocative Qur'an, this can  be done. Then, that what appears insurmountable will turn into a useful learning event.
