STORM PETRELS

Seeing Seabirds Is A Twitcher's Rare Treat
by Ari Daniel Shapiro
NPR  November 29, 2009
Every year thousands of storm petrels summer on the remote islands to the north of Scotland. The arduous journey to see the small seabirds demands more than a birdwatcher's interest — it requires the tenacity of a "twitcher," someone who travels far to find rare birds.

Exotic birds are not the only rarity in our World. Even simple insights such as Self-help and Self-improvements are rare finds in a modern culture devoted to running after celebrities and breaking news. Not that celebrities shouldn't be admired or breaking news ignored. Its just that we also should pay attention to the quality of our own thinking and the goodness of our own actions. How do we achieve this balance? This blog is a beginning. I also encourage you to read The Provocative Qur'an. You can certainly travel to Scottish Islands to see the storm petrels but you don't to have to go far to start Self-building.
