A NOVEL RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCE

NPR  University To Use Earth's Temps To Heat Its Buildings

In northeastern Indiana, environmentalists are closely watching a project on a scale that hasn't been attempted before in the United States. Ball State University is constructing the largest geothermal heating and cooling system of its kind — and promises to cut its carbon emissions in half.  Here's how it works: A few dozen feet below the Earth's surface, the temperature is between 52 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Depending on the time of year, geothermal systems use the Earth's temperature as a heat source — or sink — by sending water through miles of pipes and concentrating it to meet the temperature the thermostat calls for.

Its both amazing and gratifying to witness the positive side of the human story. While some human beings are busy vandalizing, destroying and killing, there are others who are using their reason to keep us comfortable and the earth greener. This is indeed the real meaning of our Creator's promise to angels that humankind's constructive force is far more than its destructive habits.

Al- Qur'an 2:30–33 Behold, your Lord said to the angels: “I will create a vicegerent on earth.” They said: “Will you place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood? While we do celebrate Your praises and glorify Your Holy (Name)?”
He said: “I know what you know not.”
And He taught Adam the nature of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: “Tell me the nature of these if you are right.”
They said: “Glory to You, of knowledge we have none, save what You Have taught us: In truth it is You Who are perfect in knowledge and wisdom.”
He said: “O Adam! Tell them their natures.” When he had told them, Allah said: “Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what you reveal and what you conceal?”

How can we tap into our constructive energy and restrain, deflect or suppress tne destructive negative within each of us? The answer is actually quite simple. Self-building is the key that will not only unlock the door for you but also throw away the key!
