The Formula

Does this sound complicated when you have but a few moments to parallel park? If it appears tedious, then recall that scientific explanations are often just that: explanations. In real life you will usually only have enough time to eyeball situations and apply your experience. Self-building is a similar task. It requires an understanding of self-help principles, but after that you will have to put it to work. It is your practical experience that will make you an expert so that the car of your life easily fits into its desired niche.

I am impressed by the analytical aspect of parallel parking. I am sure Lexus used this while programing their LS470 to perform an automated parallel parking while the driver watch the car move back and forth with extreme nervousness - what if something goes wrong. When all send and done he/she finds the car in one piece with no dents in the neighbors - takes a sigh of relief and dry the thin layer of swet on the forehead.
